Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sax Bandits, the first-ever SaxoFest brought together musicians, families, performers, and industry partners for an entire day dedicated to the saxophone.

As official festival partners, the Odisei Music team travelled from Barcelona in Spain, to Oxfordshire in the UK, for an event packed with live music, exhibitions, instrument repairs, and food stalls. The day also doubled as a fundraiser, raising vital funds for two amazing local charities: Younger People With Dementia and The Music Club.
Split between a free daytime festival and a ticketed evening concert, SaxoFest attracted visitors from across the UK, quickly turning into the ultimate hub for the saxophone community.
A (Saxo)Day To Remember

For the first time in our company’s history, we had our own branded stage! The Odisei Stage outside kept the energy high all morning: Lynden Blades delivered live jazz, Liz Greenwood brought Ibiza vibes, Saxophonly Fans head-banged their way through a rocking set, and 4 In A Bar showcased stellar quartet arrangements.
The outdoor finale belonged to Sax Bandits. Led by Rob Digweed, over 160 saxophonists shared the stage, a brilliant tribute to the community they’ve built over the last decade.

As evening arrived, Hannah Horton performed tracks from her album ‘Stories on the Wind‘, followed by Redtenbacher’s Funkestra, who marked their 30th anniversary with a high-energy blend of jazz and funk.
The festival closed with the Snake Davis Band. Famous for his work with M People and Klingande, Snake Davis brought the inaugural SaxoFest to a brilliant finish.

The Travel Sax 2 Experience
As festival partners, we spent the day meeting saxophonists at the Odisei Music stand.
Over 50 people stopped by to test-drive the Travel Sax 2. Some were already familiar with our gear, others had only spotted us online, and a few had never even picked up a wind instrument before!

What stood out most were the reactions. Curious, surprised, skeptical, enthusiastic –every player approached the experience differently. For many, a simple but powerful realisation hit them instantly: their fingers already knew what to do. Catching those raw first impressions is easily the best part of events like SaxoFest.
A Lucky Winner
Alongside the demos, we kept the energy up with challenges and activities all day, wrapping everything up with a giveaway for a brand-new Travel Sax 2.

Huge congratulations to Natasha, our lucky winner! We can’t wait to see you playing your new Travel Sax 2 Red Brick.

The Celebration Continues
To keep the SaxoFest spirit alive, our friends at Sax.co.uk are offering an exclusive £50 discount on any Travel Sax 2. Just use the code “TS-50+FREE-EARPHONES” at checkout before 15th August 2026 to claim it! The first 25 customers to use it will also receive a free pair of Odisei headphones!

Until Next Time
A special thank you to Rob and the Sax Bandits team for bringing the first SaxoFest to life. Seeing more than 160 saxophonists performing together was a fitting celebration of everything the community has built over the past ten years.
We’re also grateful to the entire team, the event partners, and everyone who stopped by our stand, supported the charities, and shared their saxophone passion with us.
Let’s keep making music, together!
